Aubrie Sidenblad

Meet Our Head Trainer: Aubrie Sidenblad

Aubrie has grown up with dogs and has never known a life without a furry best friend. Her journey into dog training began when she needed a service dog, leading her to discover the world of dog training. She quickly fell in love with building bonds between canine companions and bridging the gaps in human-dog communication. This career has been everything she ever wanted, and she is eternally grateful to do this for a living.

Aubrie holds a CPDT-KA certification and is K9 CPR Certified. She employs balanced training methods, combining positive reinforcement with other techniques to suit each dog's unique needs. With 3.5 years of experience, Aubrie has specialized in obedience and behavior modification, with additional experience in service dog tasks.

Her educational background includes completing the K9 CPR Course, further enhancing her skills in caring for and training dogs. Aubrie's specializations include resource guarding, obedience, and cardiac alert training, making her well-equipped to handle a variety of training needs.

Aubrie's personal training philosophy focuses on building strong relationships between dogs and their families. She believes many behavior issues stem from a lack of clarity within the relationship for both the dog and the humans. By providing education and clear communication, she strives to improve the bond and understanding between owners and their dogs. Committed to ongoing learning, Aubrie spends time talking with trainers nationwide, reading new case studies, and attending seminars and training events.

In her personal life, Aubrie enjoys paddle boarding with her two dogs and hiking. Her Labrador competes in Dock Diving competitions, and they have recently taken an interest in Rally Obedience.

Aubrie shares heartwarming stories about her dogs:

Marvel: Marvel came into her life as an 8-week-old puppy with the role of becoming a cardiac alert dog. Despite overcoming trials such as nervousness in public and recovering from a dog attack, Marvel has exceeded all expectations. He also enjoys Dock Diving, hiking, roughhousing with his four-legged brother, and a good game of fetch.

Cheddar: Cheddar is a goofy Collie mix who was adopted as a "career changed" service dog due to his anxiety. Since coming home with Aubrie, he has made incredible strides, feeling more relaxed and confident. Cheddar now enjoys his crate, patio restaurants, greeting people and dogs, and exploring new places.

Aubrie is dedicated to bridging the gap between human and canine communication, providing the best training and support for both dogs and their owners.

The Dog Wizard Highlands Ranch was the best find ever!!! I would recommend Parker and his team to anyone looking to ensure their pup(s)/dog(s) live up to their potential and get the proper training and skills to be their very best!
Aubrie and Sienna are amazing, Lewie has never been faster to want to jump out of the car and greet either one of them in the mornings of class! I know he will miss seeing them routinely each week…
I also very much appreciate all of the tips, tricks, and guidance I received from Aubrie and Sienna - their experience is fantastic.
Lewie and I look forward to the graduate support events and staying in touch!!

After rescuing our Bassett Hound We were honestly at a loss so we thought we would try The Dog wizard of Highlands Ranch and we could not be more happy. Parker and Aubrie were great to work with. The only thing I wish I could do is keep Aubrie here with me so she could work with Chulula all the time -she is amazing. Her knowledge and love for dogs come through in everything she does. If we had a question that wasn’t related to what we were learning that week she took the time to help us figure it out and ways to problem solve. We could not be more happy!!

This was the best thing I have done for my two dogs and household. I brought in nervous dogs that at the dog park would attack the fence if another dog was on the other side. My female has been attacked and nearly died. She had a right to be upset but it’s not the way to live. They are so good now. Not saying we don’t have lots of work left but now the structure is there to grow with. We can take to the dog park or doggie day care and no reaction as they walk past other dogs. This is amazing. The two trainers know what they are doing. Plus we will continue to meet at the park once a month for tuneups. If you are even thinking my dog is a bit out of control, jumps on people, barks in the car or the many other habits they develop bring them to Dog Wizard. They changed my dogs for the better. Plus they loved going!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the dog wizard! My dog Odin is a “Velcro dog” and I had been struggling with separation anxiety. I work 4 times a week and didn’t want to have to take him to daycare all the time. I did a lot of research between the Fog Wizard and other dog trainers and ultimately decided on the Dog Wizard after speaking with Parker the owner and Aubrie and Sienna (trainers). We did the 5 week day train with off leash training. They did an incredible job explaining what why taught Odin and answered all the questions I had. They also worked with my busy nurse work schedule and were able to drop him off and pick him up on the days I had to work. Odin just graduated and I can already tell that he is a more confident dog! I also greatly appreciate the continued support after graduation! So grateful for the whole team! Ps Odin became obsessed with Aubrie and Sienna and he is not always a people person so that’s how you know they are good’

We are so overjoyed with our Dog Wizard experience! My dog Holly and I joined the basic obedience group class and we both learned so much. The once a week, 5 session course went over things like leash skills, obedience (sit, down, stay, place, etc) but they also spent a lot of time on building the dogs’ confidence. Holly is a rescue dog and has come a long way in the year and a half since we’ve had her but she struggles with new environments and situations. This group class was perfect for her! She felt very comfortable and quickly found that learning new things can be fun! I am blown away by the number of skills she gained in just a few short weeks. She is definitely a more confident and obedient dog, especially out in public.
Aubrie the trainer is AMAZING!!! I have worked in the pet care industry for 20 years and she is one of the best people I’ve met! She is overflowing with knowledge and teaches in a calm and helpful way. I felt comfortable asking questions and appreciated the extra time and explanations when Holly or I needed a little more help. We also got to work with Aubrie’s apprentice, Sienna who we both adore! Sienna is so kind and will become an incredible trainer under the guidance of her one-of-a-kind mentor.
Thank you Dog Wizard team! Holly and I can’t wait to be involved in more training and activities!

About The Dog Wizard Highlands Ranch

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dog Wizard Highlands Ranch offers a free evaluation. Most locations will even come to you to do one! This enables our trainers to meet you and your dog, go over your training goals and find a program that works for you. Give us a call and we will help you set one up.
The Dog Wizard trainers are well versed in a variety of training tools; from food to collars to remote collars. We know that not all dogs do well with every tool and we will help you decide what tool is best for your dog as well as what tools you’re comfortable with using. At the end of the day, whatever tool you’re comfortable in using will be the one you’re most consistent in using and that’s what’s most important to us.
It is never too late to start teaching your dog new habits. It will take more time and effort than teaching a new puppy but you will love the outcome.

In order to know how long it will take to train your dog, we will need to do a free consultation. During your consultation, we will get to understand what you are looking to gain from the training as well as evaluate your dog to see what we will need to do to get him where you would like him to be. At that point, we will be able to give you a timeline for his training.

We do not have a one size fits all approach to training. Each dog owner team that has a free evaluation will have a customized program designed to fit your specific needs. Because of this, individualized system pricing varies. Give us a call and we will help you set one up
