Romario Romain
Owner/ Head Trainer
Romario graduated in 2019 with a B.S in Biology, double concentrating in Biomedical Sciences and Zoology. He has always owned and trained dogs, but became seriously invested in the art of dog training when a challenging Cane Corso came into his family's life. While this usually presents a problem for most, working with this challenging dog presented a hidden talent which then blossomed into a passion. Soon after, he made a huge career change from a laboratory research associate, to full time dog trainer where he also developed a love for working dogs. Since then he has become a certified decoy and plans on trialing his personal dogs . His background in science has made it easy to understand how dogs learn and practically apply the theory to acquire target behaviors.
Romario believes that dogs with the right balance of structure and freedom can live happy, healthy, well fulfilled lives which then allows our furry companions to be a greater part of our lives. During his experience as a trainer Romario has worked with many different breeds, sizes and temperaments of dogs both on a professional and voluntary basis. He has also been a part of different dog sports and enthusiasts clubs. He has also had experience with canine enrichment and fitness. His goal is to empower clients with the knowledge and confidence to be great and successful dog owners.

See What Other Dog Owners are Saying

When I called, I found out that one of the trainers, Riley, has worked with multiple Samoyeds before and is very familiar with the breed. My dog is the type that would rather go without food just to prove a point. I don’t know if that’s the Samoyed personality or me rubbing off on him but I’m choosing to believe it is the former.
The moment Riley came for a consultation I know it would be a great fit! And I was thankfully SO RIGHT. Jones, my pup, stayed with Riley at her home and she would bring him to the company facility for structured play, for distraction free training, and more. Riley also took Jones to public areas for training and she sent pictures and updates each day (expect Sundays as explained to me).
Jones came back and he was SO MUCH BETTER BEHAVED OMG. It was wonderful and I could tell Riley worked with so much intention and passion because the connection between her and my pup was so strong and genuine.
I also love being able to go to support group classes to get extra help and meet other dog parents.
The only thing I wish I would have done was ask for a chance to learn more about the e collar and techniques being used and had more time to learn from the trainer on how to implement these tools so that my pup and I could have gotten off on stronger note when he was brought home to me.
About The Dog Wizard Denver
Our dog training goes beyond basic commands like Sit, Come, and Down. Our approach focuses on helping your dog make better choices and respond to you instead of their impulses.
We cover all the essential obedience commands you need to communicate effectively with your dog. But more importantly, we teach your dog to stay engaged and follow through with these commands, even in the most distracting environments.
Our goal is to enhance your dog’s understanding of obedience, making it a natural part of their behavior, not just a few tricks they perform when they feel like it.
