We love our trainers, we’ve been with Megan and Kerri since May of 2025 and we love seeing them. By we, I mean our dog, he adores them so much and it’s his highlight of the week so we try our best to make it to the support classes. They have gotten me (someone who is anxious with an anxious overhyped dog) comfortable enough to be able to go to dog events with him. He is a pit bull but he is the sweetest and just needed a little guidance which has been mostly solved with Megan and Kerri!
The amount of care they give to all of our dogs in general, and I mean ours by other owners as well, is incredible. So much attention to photos and videos on social media, random fun things like contests or who can do what the fastest on Facebook.
This has helped our dog and us out so much in our daily routine with their trainings.
I highly recommend this business to anyone with dogs, the experience alone speaks volumes. Whenever we get another dog we will be going right back with the dog wizard and ideally with Megan or Kerri !

I’ve had such an amazing experience with The Dog Wizard! My puppy Indie started with a few Saturdays of puppy school with Megan, and then moved into one-on-one sessions with Kerri — who was absolutely fantastic.

I always knew Indie was in the best hands every time I dropped her off. Kerri not only helped shape her behavior but also taught me how to build a stronger bond and better understand my dog. The difference in Indie’s confidence, manners, and happiness has been incredible— it truly elevated her life (and mine!)

I highly recommend The Dog Wizard for all your training needs! Our trainer, Kerri, was the bomb — she listened to my hopes for our dog, Griffin, and what our overall goals were for him and his training. She made training fun and educational, for Griffin and for me! Also, Kerri always made sure I understood how to carry the training into our own home and would always offer advice when I needed it. Griffin can now do place, recall, heel, sit, and down! He continues to make great strides in his own confidence and abilities, and I know it’s because of The Dog Wizard and Kerri! I know Griffin will miss coming to training to see the whole crew - Kerri, Megan, and Hunter - but I know we will see everyone at support class! Thanks so much, Dog Wizard!

My husband and I rescued a puppy within our neighborhood several months ago. It didn’t take us long to understand that she was highly reactive, more so than we had ever experienced with any of our pets. The Dog Wizard came highly recommended. Once I researched their methods and realized that we could participate in private lessons I was sold! Megan Garner, our trainer, was/is knowledgeable, patient but firm and personable. The training practices were not overwhelming for our puppy, Mika or for us! She has learned commands that support positive behavior in a variety of environments and situations. What we all learned made sense and has helped us to understand Mika’s behavior. We learned strategies to help us respond to Mika’s behavioral issues in ways that would help her make better choices. We are amazed at her progress and ours. We are so appreciative of Megan as well as Kerri Robert’s, who is also a great trainer. She and Megan are a wonderful team. We can’t wait to continue our learning journey with the Dog Wizard team via support classes. We feel fortunate to be a part of this community.

The Dog Wizard Madison offers a free evaluation. Most locations will even come to you to do one! This enables our trainers to meet you and your dog, go over your training goals and find a program that works for you. Give us a call and we will help you set one up.
The Dog Wizard trainers are well versed in a variety of training tools; from food to collars to remote collars. We know that not all dogs do well with every tool and we will help you decide what tool is best for your dog as well as what tools you’re comfortable with using. At the end of the day, whatever tool you’re comfortable in using will be the one you’re most consistent in using and that’s what’s most important to us.
It is never too late to start teaching your dog new habits. It will take more time and effort than teaching a new puppy but you will love the outcome.

In order to know how long it will take to train your dog, we will need to do a free consultation. During your consultation, we will get to understand what you are looking to gain from the training as well as evaluate your dog to see what we will need to do to get him where you would like him to be. At that point, we will be able to give you a timeline for his training.
